Premo Parking collects limited information so the app can work as expected and improve over time.
We collect information directly from you (for example, when you create an account or contact support) and from your device and app usage. We try to minimise collection and avoid requesting data that is not needed for core functionality, reliability, or support.
- Account information: if you create an account or contact us, we may collect details such as your name and email address.
- Location information: device location, including precise location where available, so we can show nearby parking rules and your parked location.
- Optional Bluetooth and motion data: used only if you enable enhanced detection features.
- Notification preferences: whether push notifications are enabled and how you configure reminder behavior.
- Device and usage diagnostics: information like app version, device model, operating system, and crash logs to help us improve app reliability.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and maintain Premo Parking, including to:
- Provide core functionality like nearby parking rules, time limits, and reminders.
- Improve optional enhanced detection accuracy when that feature is enabled by the user.
- Send reminder and service notifications if notifications are enabled.
- Monitor performance, investigate failures, and fix bugs.
- Protect the service, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not use your data for unrelated marketing across other companies' apps or websites.
Location and Background Features
Premo uses location to show nearby parking rules and to power reminder features. Where supported by your device and permission settings, this can include precise location.
Optional enhanced detection may use Bluetooth and motion data only if you enable that feature.
Premo does not use continuous background location without your explicit permission. If background location is ever requested, it will be presented as a separate system permission that you can grant or deny.
You can turn these permissions off at any time in your device settings.
Notifications
Push notifications are used for parking reminders and important app updates only if you enable them. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Information Sharing
We do not sell personal data.
We do not track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising.
We may share data with trusted service providers that process information on our behalf to operate Premo Parking. These processors include:
- Firebase (Google): app analytics, crash reporting, diagnostics, and related backend operations. We do not enable Firebase advertising features.
- SendGrid: processing and delivery of support and contact form emails.
- Google Cloud / hosting providers: infrastructure and hosting needed to run our app and website.
These providers are permitted to process data only to provide services to us, subject to contractual and security controls.
Data collected through analytics and diagnostics is used solely to improve performance, reliability, and user experience, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Premo.
Security
- We limit access to personal data to people and systems that need it to operate the service.
- We use standard encryption and secure transport practices to protect data in transit.
- We monitor reliability and security signals so we can respond to incidents and improve safeguards.
Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as needed to provide Premo Parking, maintain security and reliability, resolve support requests, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on data type and use. For example, diagnostic logs are generally kept for shorter operational windows, while records needed for legal, security, or dispute-handling purposes may be retained longer.
Your Choices
You can control how Premo accesses your device and personal information.
- Permissions can be changed at any time in device settings (location, Bluetooth, motion, and notifications).
- You can delete your account at any time using the in-app account deletion feature. If you need assistance, contact support.
- You can contact us at any time for privacy questions or data access requests through our support channels.
Disabling certain permissions can limit app features such as nearby rule detection and reminder delivery.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our product evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material updates, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page.
